The small rooms are furnished and decorated to a very high standard in a traditional style. The bathrooms are also small, but both are in very good condition. There is a genuinely warm feeling of welcome in the mahogany panelled reception, lobby and lounge - the latter replete with original artworks, an imposing Jacobean Revival chimney piece, plump sofas and discreet bar. Everything, from the oriental porcelain to the furniture and decor, are original of the period. The hotel is located in fashionable South Kensington, just a few minutes walk from South Kensington underground station and some of London's finest attractions. The Science, Natural History and Victoria & Albert Museum are literally on the doorstep. Likewise Harrods, fashionable Knightsbridge , and the cafes restaurants and antiques shops of Chelsea. The bedrooms vary in size from small to medium and are bright and airy, with large windows. All of the furniture and soft furnishings are of an excellent standard. The bathrooms vary greatly in size and shape. Some are shower only. The small lobby is to the right of the main entrance and is furnished in a contemporary style, with limited casual seating available. Further seating is available in the 'Tiger Bar' to the left of reception. The hotel is located just off Kensington High Street in a quiet residential street. Kensington Palace, the Albert Memorial and the Albert Hall are all within easy walking distance of the hotel. The building consists of two converted 19th century town houses with a white stucco facade kept in excellent condition. The rooms are small but in excellent condition having undergone a recent renovation. All are decorated in contempary colours and many enjoy superb views across London. One of the largest hotel lobbies in London, decorated in marble with large windows overlooking a small quiet garden. Located in the Kensington area, Gloucester Road underground station is two minutes walk and offers easy access to both the West End and Heathrow Airport. The hotel is a very large modern high-rise building with twenty seven floors, offering views all over London. The hotel's main restaurant is attractively decorated in pale colours with a light wood parquet floor, gold coloured handrails and detailing, large windows and mirrored pillars which make it pleasantly light and airy.
